It’s been some time since I did some modelling, so time to get back into practice! Here is a simple model of a key that I created to practice small item texturing. The model is super simple (created in Blender of course) with bevels applied to the edges. Exported as an FBX and textured in Substance Painter. I ran through the full toolbox of steel materials before landing on this dark steel. Added some rust and dirt, and scaled the UV map to achieve the look of a small piece of metal.

Some critiques, well, I think the hexagonal edges could be smoothed out to get a rounded shape on the handle. This object is also quite ugly in terms of proportion, it might also be a bit too thick. It needs more rounding too, the squareness of the mechanism would likely stick in a lock.
