Metal objects make for great texturing projects. Substance Painter procedural grunge creates a very realistic and satisfying end result.
I’ve modelled this Icanthus leaf from a wall paper image I found online. I’m planning on modelling the entire thing, but so far I only have a fragment completed. The model and mesh wirefram so far looks like this –
This seemed like a simple thing to model, but it’s amazing how complex it is to divide and merge the shapes. There are a few triangles in the mesh, something I try to avoid. I may try converting them to quads once I get the full shape completed.
